Our design awards have been hand crafted for many years by member architect, Al Rusch, AIA. As he retires, Al's talent as a sculptor, illustrator, woodworker and ceramicist, will be greatly missed. AIA Illinois and its membership thanks Al for his legacy of custom work given as our Honor Awards.

The next question is: will AIA Illinois find a worthy counterpart to continue these great custom awards, which have been received in custom made boxes, and hand drawn renderings?

 

Perhaps a Call for Artists...

 

May the recipients of these great works of art come to cherish them even more as those that are given will be the last of this line.
